Project T.I.M.E. Mentor Program strives to foster positive relatinships between public school students and T.I.M.E. Mentors. The mentors seek to support families and help improve the students chance of succeeding academically and socially.
The mentor program matches trained community volunters with elementary and middle school students in cooperation with the school's teachers and intervention specialists. Mentors meet with students once or twice a week during the lunch hour.
Our Goal:
- To provide positive role models for youth
- To enhance the self-esteem of students
- To encourage academic success
- Increase positive attitudes toward School
- Achieve higher Grades
History:
Project T.I.M.E. was a vision of Rev. Terrell Persons' and started as a polite program at Larchmont Elementary School in 1990. We have now expanded to:
- Hillside
- Harrington
- Countryside
- Hartford
- Springville
- Fleetwood
